Koda Kumi – That Ain’t Cool feat. Fergie w/ lyrics

Posted by jojo8 on September 2, 2008

Somebody saw you in the parking lot
With a girl heading to the spot
Fergie Ferg
So now you’re trynna play me like a fool
That ain’t cool, that ain’t cool so
Kumi
Let’s go

Somebody saw you in the parking lot
With a girl heading to the spot
So now you’re trynna play me like a fool
That ain’t cool, that ain’t cool so

Did you really think that I wouldn’t find you out
I guess somebody decided to sell you out
They told me about her and what you plan to do
You tried to have your cake and eat it too
The woman isn’t gonna work that way
It doesn’t really sit well with something to tell
When you hurt me you really hurt yourself

Somebody saw you in the parking lot
With a girl heading to the spot
So now you’re trynna play me like a fool
That ain’t cool, that ain’t cool so

Somebody saw you in the parking lot
With a girl heading to the spot
So now you’re trynna play me like a fool
That ain’t cool, that ain’t cool so

What you gonna do
What you gonna do about it ?

Did you really think that I was really that easy ?
Don’t make me laugh, anata ni wa Tired
I’m gonna throw you out, that’s what I’m gonna do
A girl can have her cake and eat it too
I was just pretending to play that game
Ano tachi to not the same
Don’t come back to me like a child
I’m not you mammy, so say sayonara !!

Somebody saw you in the parking lot
With a girl heading to the spot
So now you’re trynna play me like a fool
That ain’t cool, that ain’t cool so

Somebody saw you in the parking lot
With a girl heading to the spot
So now you’re trynna play me like a fool
That ain’t cool, that ain’t cool so

What you gonna do
What you gonna do about it ?

Somebody saw you in the parking lot
With a girl heading to the spot
So now you’re trynna play me like a fool
That ain’t cool, that ain’t cool so

Somebody saw you in the parking lot
With a girl heading to the spot
So now you’re trynna play me like a fool
That ain’t cool, that ain’t cool so

KAT-TUN profile

Posted by jojo8 on August 30, 2008

KAT-TUN (hepburn: katūn, sounding similar to “cartoon”) is a sextet Japanese boy band formed under Johnny & Associates (JE) in 2001 who releases records under their own label, J-One Records. The group’s name is an acronym formed by the members’ surname initials. One of the most popular boy bands in Japan at the moment, all seven singles, three studio albums and six DVDs released by the group since their debut in 2006 have debuted at number one on the Oricon music and DVD charts.

Their debut was marked by a tripartite release, consisting of a single, an album and a DVD: Real Face, Best of KAT-TUN and Real Face Film. All three shattered records in sales.

Members

* Kamenashi Kazuya (亀梨和也, Kamenashi Kazuya?), (born February 23, 1986)
* Akanishi Jin (赤西仁, Akanishi Jin?), (born July 4, 1984)
* Taguchi Junnosuke (田口淳之介, Taguchi Junnosuke?) (born November 29, 1985)
* Tanaka Koki (田中聖, Tanaka Koki?) (born November 5, 1985)
* Ueda Tatsuya (上田竜也, Ueda Tatsuya?) (born October 4, 1983)
* Nakamaru Yuichi (中丸雄一, Nakamaru Yuichi?) (born September 4, 1983)

Kazuya Kamenashi is the youngest member of KAT-TUN. Often described as the most dependable, he serves as lead vocalist with Akanishi and are debatably the most popular members of the group. He is noted for his talent in baseball, having once played in a world tournament as a child though he had to give up dreams of playing professionally after joining JE. Kamenashi debuted before the rest of the group as part of Shūji to Akira whose only song, “Seishun Amigo”, became 2005’s number one single in Japan with over 1.6 million copies sold to date.[1] An established actor with award-winning performances in television dramas Nobuta wo Produce and Gokusen 2, he has also appeared in Yuuki, Tatta Hitotsu no Koi, Suppli and 1 Pound no Fukuin.

Jin Akanishi is the second lead vocalist. Never afraid to speak his mind, Akanishi is opinionated in nature and holds no qualms about following his own path; a prime example would be his six-month hiatus from October 2006 to April 2007 to study English in Los Angeles just as KAT-TUN were six months into their debut. Most of the group’s second studio album did not feature him due to his absence. Akanishi plays the guitar and is a budding songwriter having written several songs for the group and himself. Also an actor, he has had roles in Gokusen 2 and Yukan Club and made his debut as a seiyū in 2008 providing the voice for Speed Racer in the Japanese-dubbed version of Speed Racer.

Junnosuke Taguchi is the tallest member of the group. Recognised by his bandmates for being good at acrobatics, he needed an operation in February 2004 after sustaining a bad knee injury during rehearsals and did not return until August 2004. Taguchi is known as the most light-hearted member with a carefree-like nature. Often picked on by the other members for his frequent use of dajare (Japanese word puns), he also has a tendency to randomly jump between topics during talks and interviews leading the others to label him “KY” (a person who is unable to read an atmosphere properly). Taguchi is an award-winning actor[2][3] with roles in Mohou-han, Ganbatte Ikimasshoi, Happy!, Happy! 2, Hanayome to Papa and Yukan Club.

Koki Tanaka performs most of the rap lyrics, which he writes himself. Though he wanted to leave KAT-TUN when it was first formed, he changed his mind after the group held their first concert. Influenced by hip-hop and reggae at an early age, he found the task of rapping in an idol group made easier due to Shō Sakurai’s breakthrough for Arashi.[4] Often seen as grumpy or scary at first glance due to his atypical non-idol appearance, several of his JE peers and bandmates have regardless described him as being very affable, caring and family-oriented in reality. Artistically inclined, Tanaka can illustrate well and loves to design apparel sewing most of his tour costumes on his own. With bandmate Nakamaru, they make up a comedic unit, TaNaka (a portmanteau of their surnames). An actor who won multiple awards for his performance in My Boss, My Hero[5][6], he has also appeared in Byakkotai, Tatta Hitotsu no Koi and took on his first lead role in 2007 in Tokkyu Tanaka 3 Go.

Tatsuya Ueda is the quietest member and though by no means a wallflower, he rarely speaks unless spoken to and has been described as living in a world of his own by his bandmates. Ironically, he chose to become KAT-TUN’s leader at first but later quit because he could not handle being scolded during dance rehearsals, also denoting his sensitive nature. Ueda plays the piano and guitar and is an able composer and lyricist, having written songs for the group and himself. He will be the first KAT-TUN member to hold a solo concert in September 2008 where he will perform songs across various genres, such as rock, dance, ballad, and folk, all of which he penned himself.[7] Ueda is an avid boxer and has enough skill in the sport for him to be advised by professionals to get a professional boxing license.[8] He is also the only member to have never acted in a television drama or film to date.

Yuichi Nakamaru is the oldest member of the group. The first JE idol to prominently showcase beatboxing and vocal percussion ability, Nakamaru learned by diligently studying hundreds of examples from hip-hop albums after KAT-TUN was formed. His primary motivation was to set himself apart from the rest of the members since he did not want to be seen as dull.[9] He often shares MC duties with Kamenashi but in private, is rather shy and reserved and whose meek nature particularly shows when amongst strangers. He is currently studying at Waseda University reading Environmental Studies.[10] He is also the first member to do a one-man solo stage show — performing songs, dance, beat boxing and skits for two weeks in August 2008.

Jpop, Kpop and the Almost Non-Existing Fpop

Posted by jojo8 on June 25, 2008

Right now I’m into Jpop.  I like Namie Amuro.  The MV I posted is old but I like it so I’m not going into uber critic mode other than say, “It’s so American-ish.”   So someone’s going to say, “She’s Japanese. Why can’t she sing Japanese music?”   Do you mean all those songs you hear in anime?  Please… don’t be so narrow-minded.  This comment is also directed to Filipino, Korean and other Asian artists being that they “copy” American music.  Music is universal (and that’s cliche so all people should already know that).  Music is an expression.   They like the melody, rhythm, beat etc. and they like the lyrics to be in a certain language and sometimes mixed (is it called Engrish?).  Some people like it, some people don’t.  Do you have to be American/British/any nationality to appreciate music? To sing American et. al. songs?  NOT!

I got to be honest, I wasn’t really that thrilled with Korean and Japanese music.  All I know is that the theme songs of the KDramas are good (sounds heartbreaking though) and I like anime songs (especially Naruto opening and closing credits themes).  But lately I’m discovering Asian music (I really have to force myself!).  I’m not regretting it though because I’m having fun.  I certainly had fun watching some of the vids and live performances in youtube.  So now, I know that there are really annoying Korean artists, not themselves per se but based on what they did in the vids (ultimately themselves if I watched them in several vids and they are still annoying) and there are some who looked really fake.  Luckily I found DBSK!  I made fun of their clothes (didn’t comment on it on youtube, just kept it to myself).  Jaejoong needs to have a new stylist, same as with Yunho…. okay… all of them.. nyahahaha..  Ahermmm…. Let’s forget about my little outburst there because I really like DBSK.  All of them.  Another group I like is Big Bang or Bigbang.. whichever.  Because of one video that sounds like trance music.  It’s their latest, I think.  (If someone would give me the title of the song, thanks!)

I first heard of Utada Hikaru then I saw names of Namie Amuro and Ayumi Hamasaki in forums.  Like I said above, I like Namie Amuro.  Utada Hikaru also.  Arashi is fun but too bubblegum for me.   L’arc-En-Ciel–  I like (they’ re JRock, I know..).

I referred to Fpop as almost non-existent because Filipino pop artists tend to concentrate on ballads. They are really good but I want them to record pop/rnb songs.  They can really sing this genre, but so far few have released records.  I’m so frustrated!
